Grand marshal

Wendell Baxter

Mr. Baxter has spent the majority of his life in support of his community and Harford County while working for the Bel Air Police Department.

As a life member of the Darlington Volunteer Fire company he obtained the position of Ambulance Captain and was one of the first Paramedic's in the County.  He always found time to teach CPR for local churches, youth groups and the Boy and Girl Scouts.  He also belongs to Delta Cardiff Fire Company and continues to help in the same way.

He has held the position of Chairman of the Darlington Dublin Civic Association for several years.

On the County level he belongs to the Harford County Human Relations Commission and the Harford County Crime Solvers Board of Directors.  He was instrumental in the development of the Mason Dixon Little League Baseball program.  Mr. Baxter also serves as a Disaster Volunteer Coordinator for the American Red Cross.

Bel Air has also benefited as he helped with their football program and the Explorer Post 9010.

He has also served on the Board of Directors for Citizens Nursing Home in Havre de Grace.

His State accomplishments were sitting on the State EMS Advisory Council and the Albert P. Close Foundation.

Mr. Baxter continues to help by volunteering his time and services to any one that asks or is in need.

As you can see, Mr. Baxter has not only served our area but the County and State as an outstanding example of a VOLUNTEER.

Wendell - Keep up the good work!
